The 2019 Southern Oregon LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness inaugural Summit was held on
May 9th and 10th, 2019 in Medford, Oregon.
Our goal was to try to reach as many regional medical and behavioral healthcare providers as possible, in order to improve access to quality services for our LGBTQ+ population. Because of significant lack of access issues, the second day of our conference last year focused on transgender health services, with an emphasis on education regarding what care could be provided locally. Clinicians and staff from the OHSU Transgender Center joined us for the 2019 Summit.
The 2019 inaugural Summit, and current 2020 Lecture Series, are conceptualized and organized by SO Health-E’s LGBTQ+ Equity Work Group. You can learn more about the work of SO Health-E on our website.
